Ferrell D Davis

Ferrell was born June 6, 1934, in Comanche, Texas to George Malcolm Davis and Nancy Irene Keating Davis. Dave joined the Air Force in 1952 and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 28 years of honorable service. While serving his country, he was awarded a Purple Heart, the Distinguished Flying Cross, 8 Air Medals and numerous service medals.

While stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Dave graduated from Park College with a degree in Business Administration. He subsequently worked for Motorola in Austin for 16 years. Dave served on the Board of Directors of the Bergstrom Federal Credit Union (later known as United Heritage Federal Credit Union) for a number of years. He was a member of the American Legion and the D.A.V.

In 1974, Dave married Betty Witter Fritsche. In 1987, Dave and Betty moved permanently from Austin to the Marble Falls area and began enjoying retirement in the beautiful Texas hill country. They both enjoyed fishing and spent many happy times on the Highland Lakes and on the Gulf Coast.

Dave is survived by his wife, Betty, of Meadowlakes; his son, David Davis, granddaughter, Alexandra Davis and grandson, David A. Davis, of Grand Prairie, Texas; a step-daughter, Rhonda Fritsche,of Austin, Texas, and 9 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-son, Robert W. Fritsche, and his sister, Betty Hicks.

Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2012 from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas. Graveside service will be held that afternoon at 2:00 PM at Cook Walden /Forest Oaks Memorial Park, Austin, Texas.
