Ismael Palacio

Ismael “Rocket/ Mayo” Palacio passed away on May 31, 2020. He was 45 years old. Ismael was born on October 9, 1974 in Madero Del Rio, Coahuila, Mexico to his parents Mauro Palacio (✝) and Juanita Hernandez. He married Angeleca Meza and this past April they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. In their early years of marriage they lived in Del Rio, Texas where they created many happy memories. In 2001, they moved to Granite Shoals, Texas where Ismael worked for the City of Marble Falls for many years and retired in January of 2020. Together, Ismael and his wife built a beautiful life with their children.

Ismael was a kind, giving person. He had a passion for helping people in need and always sought to start benefits for others. He had a personality that drew others to him, he loved conversation. He was a true friend to anyone who had the privilege to meet him. He was a devoted husband and father. He had a love for anything western and you could easily pick him out in a crowd by his cowboy hat with its long feather. He had the biggest heart.

Ismael is survived by his wife, Angeleca Palacio; his children, Karina, Abigail and Mauro Ismael Palacio; his mother, Juanita Hernandez; his siblings, Roberto Palacio, Maria Estrada and Nancy Palacio. He is preceded in death by his father, Mauro Palacio (✝).
