John was a graduate of Texas A & I in Kingsville, Texas, a Korean war veteran and was retired from the U.S. Geological Survey after thirty years of service.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Grace Joy Gordon and his brother, Mike Gordon of Jerrell, Texas. He also leaves behind his four children, Gail McKinney of Pottsboro, Texas, Quay Trotter of San Marcus, Texas, John “Trey” Gordon III of Burnet, Texas and Marty Gordon of Liberty Hill, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
John was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
