

June was born on June 25, 1932, in Burnet County to Martin and Stella Cox. She attended Bertram Elementary and Middle School and Burnet High School. She had a paper delivery route in her early years and began working in retail right after graduation.
She was introduced to Bob Whitman by her brother in 1948 and they were married on August 26, 1950. Following their marriage, she worked as a homemaker, in retail, healthcare and banking until retiring in 1998. June and Bob were long-standing members of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls and sang in the choir for several years. They enjoyed traveling, especially with the seniors’ church group, attending events at the Kingsland American Legion, spending time with their family and volunteering at the St. Frederick’s Mission Outreach.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her parents, her brothers Clyde, Martin and Robert Cox, her sisters Marie Stephenson, Dorris Stevens, Mona Austin and Janice Cox, and one great grandchild, Eli Robinson.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Cox, daughter Barbara Robinson (Jerry), sons Mark (Candy) and Terry (Jacquelyn), grandchildren Les Robinson, Leah Robinson, Robert Robinson, Kristen Bell, Chelsey Cardillo, Donnie Pelky and Jordan Whitman, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the loving and professional care provided to June by the employees of Gateway, Celeste Care and Arbor House in Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay, respectively.
A service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 am.
