Raleigh Lee O’Neal, Jr., age 77 of Marble Falls, TX, passed away on August 24, 2022. Raleigh was born on September 24, 1944 in San Antonio, TX to Raleigh Sr. and Noma O’Neal. He married Vivian Lucille Maynard on June 3, 1965 in Hobbs, New Mexico, where he worked for Shell Oil Company. Later they moved to Fort Worth and he worked for General Dynamics. They next moved to Llano where he worked for Charlie’s Store. In 1974, they settled in Marble Falls where he worked for LCRA until he retired 20 years later. Raleigh was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed daily walks, spending time outdoors, and tinkering with his antique car. Raleigh loved Friday night football, and he and Vivian could be found in the bleachers watching Mustang basketball. He dedicated his life to his wife and four daughters. He loved spending time with his three grandchildren; he was so proud of all of their accomplishments. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vivian, his daughter Paula Swenson, daughter Karen Noffsinger and her husband Steve Noffsinger, Becky Shimek and her husband Brian Shimek, Donna Counts and her husband Vic Counts, his grandchildren Ryan Counts and his wife MacKenzie, Evan Shimek, and Nicole Noffsinger and his siblings Barbara and husband Kenneth Carter, Stanley and wife Chellie O'Neal, and Alan and wife Kathy O'Neal.
There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Marble Falls Church of Christ, 711 Broadway Street, Marble Falls, TX.
