Steve was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Don and Wynelle Holden. He and his sister Donna grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma and attended Jenks High School and he then completed his college degree at Oklahoma State University in 1980 where he majored in petroleum technology.
He married Kim Bachtell in 1980 and children Brad and Brandi were born in 1984 and 1988.
He worked for Chevron for 37 years.
In 2003 he married Sidney Viney and moved to Laredo TX.
They moved to Marble Falls in 2016 after his retirement from Chevron. This is where Steve called home. He loved fishing, golfing and watching his Oklahoma State Cowboys football, that is up until this year…..After quite a losing season. He loved tinkering with his tools and tractors and any outdoor & indoor toys that needed fixing. Steve loved Marble Falls and was proud to call this place his home. He met and developed so many wonderful friends and boy did he love his beer from Save the World Brewing Company.
Steve was loved and admired by many and will be dearly missed - especially by Amazon and Temu.
Steve was preceded in death by his father Don Carl Holden March 8, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Sid Holden, mother Wynelle Holden, sister Donna Helgeson and husband Daniel, son Bradley and wife Karla and their daughter Kimmie.
