Thomas Claire Armagost

Thomas C. Armagost, age 92, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2026, the day before his 93rd birthday. He was born on March 20, 1933 in a farmhouse outside of Fosston, Colorado to Leona and George Armagost. Tom was very fond of his mother who passed away when he was 17, which was a big loss for him.

Tom married the love of his life Mary in February 1958, sharing 64 years together. They raised two sons Russell and Randy. Tom was a Controller, accountant and financial analyst for various companies during his career beginning with Colorado Kenworth and retiring from Over-The-Line Express. In his free time, he studied computer programming so that he could write and manage the different accounting programs. He had a strong work ethic and was well respected by his bosses and peers.

Tom was the family photographer, as well as collector of old cameras. He was an avid pool player, cribbage and pinochle player as well as enjoyed a fun round of golf. Tom served in the USAF during the Korean War earning a distinguished merit award. In 2015, he was able to go on an Honor Flight. He had a great time with other Korean veterans that served our country touring Washington D. C. Tom was a great storyteller in his later years and shared them with us several times during our visits. He enjoyed reminiscing his life through his stories.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents Leona and George Armagost, his siblings Donald Armagost, Robert Armagost and Marilyn Hansen. He is survived by his sons Russell and wife Meredith of Bryan, Texas, Randy and wife Cheryl of Wichita, Kansas, his granddaughter Janiece and husband Angel Von Raven, of Austin, Texas, and his brother Gary Armagost of Las Vegas, Nevada.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, there will be no services held locally. The family will have graveside services at Pike’s Peak National Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado at a later date. Tom and Mary’s ashes will be interred together.

Dad, you have slipped the surly bonds of Earth, reunited with family members. We will miss you and look forward to seeing you again. Well done good and faithful servant.
