Services will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m., at San Marco Church on Marco Island. Burial will follow immediately at Marco Island Cemetery.
Those who wish, may make contributions to "The Wounded Warrior Project"
(woundedwarriorproject.org) in lieu of flowers.
Douglas was born on September 25, 1922 to Anna (Flanagan) and Edmund Martin in Liberty, New York and has been married to the love of his life, Jane Martin for forty years.
Douglas served in The United States Marine Corps; WWII Korean, Kwajalein-Roi,Guam and Okinawa from 1942-1952.
In addition to his loving wife Jane, Douglas is survived by his children - Linda Zizzamia of Connecticut, Luanne (Pete) Matarangas, Drew (Gail) Jobin, Craig (Gina) Jobin and Damon Jobin, all of Collier County Florida. Doug has also been blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A son, Douglas Martin, Jr., died previously.
