John graduated from the University of Maine with a Chemical Engineering degree and went on to New York University to earn an MBA. He was a Sigma Nu brother.
He was Honorably discharged from the Army serving as an Artillery Officer. His career included thirty-eight years for Colgate in various capacities retiring in 1998 as Director of Engineering.
Retiring to Marco Island in 1999 he joined and enjoyed Marco Men’s Club serving as Membership Chair; Fishing Club as President; American Legion; ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eat Out); and Monday Brunch Group. Over the years, John and his family traveled extensively - he and Janet walked on every continent.
John is preceded in death by his parents Fioravanti (Jack) and Beatrice and his brothers James and William. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet, his daughter, Sandra, whom he was so proud of, along with his son-in-law, Edward, and grandchildren, Brendan and Lucia, who were the joy of his life.
A Gathering of Family & Friends is planned for November 22nd, 1pm at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2 pm.
