

Marilyn (McCarthy) Collins died peacefully on February 21, 2015 in Naples, Florida with her family by her side. Daughter of Catherine (Fitzgerald) and Timothy McCarthy, she was born and raised in Beverly, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late William John Collins, to whom she was married for 58 years.
Marilyn attended St. Mary's in Beverly and after high school, she graduated from the Chandler School. She was a homemaker and an avid tennis player. Marilyn is survived by her five children, Deborah Cook, and her husband Gary from Wilbraham MA; Beth Raucci and her husband Bob from Haverhill, MA; Martha Collins Gray, and her husband Rob from Weston, MA; Carolyn Atwood and her husband, Donnie from Bolton, MA; and William John Collins Jr. from Seattle WA.
She leaves her six grandchildren Colin and Timothy Cook, Leighton and Lily Gray, and Matthew and Robert Atwood; her brothers Charles of Manchester-by-the-Sea and Marco Island Florida; Robert of Bedford NH and Daytona Beach, FL; the late Timothy F. McCarthy from Beverly, MA, one sister Ann Stewart of Bedford, NH; her sisters-in-law Joyce McCarthy of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Hannah-Lore McCarthy of Beverly, MA, and Ellie Collins of Wenham, MA, her brothers-in-law Arthur Collins of Manchester-by-the-Sea and the late Hugh John Collins of Wenham, MA, many nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful friends from Beverly and Marco Island, Florida.
