

Robert (Bob) C. Brown passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2025. Bob was born in Bay City, Michigan to Kenneth R. Brown and Mildred (Jimmie) Griffor Brown. He married the love of his life, Mary Beth on April 20, 1974.
Bob worked at Bertsch Company, which ultimately became US Flow Corporation until August 2004, where he retired as VP of Marketing Operations.
During the early years of marriage, Bob and Mary Beth lived in Auburn, MI and were members of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. There he maintained membership in the Knights of Columbus and Columbian Club of Fisherville, and St George Society at Pulaski Hall in Bay City.
In 1997, Bob purchased a lot on Marco Island, Florida and began construction of their family home in 1999. Construction was completed in 2000 and Bob and Mary Beth moved permanently to Marco Island in 2004. They made many friends and enjoyed the tropical weather. They were both active members of San Marco Catholic Church. Bob transferred his Knights of Columbus membership to Marco Island Council #6344 where he became an Honorary Lifetime Member. He also became a 4th degree member and was conferred the honor of Sir Knight in Assembly 2514. While living on Marco Island, Bob was very active with the City of Marco Island. He belonged to many committees, ultimately being appointed to the Planning Board and finally becoming a member of the City Council where he served for 6 years.
Bob was elected to the Marco Island Civic Association (MICA) and served as President for three years. He was also elected to the Board of Directors for Marco Island Fire/Rescue Foundation where he helped them with their many fundraisers. In addition, he served on the Board of directors for the Marco Island Police Foundation.
Bob is survived by his wife’s sisters and Brothers-In-Law, Monica and Terry Hus (Auburn, MI), Pat and Russ Friebe (Nashport, OH), Bill Reder whose wife Marcia passed away July 2019, and Carol Vincent (Lancaster, SC) whose husband Jerry passed away June 2004. He was also survived by many people who he considered family, some of which being Chris and Katie Bowden, Ed and Carmen Vance, his godson, Ryan (Emma), and Mallory Rubley (Kyler), Tom Laskowski, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Beth in 2014, his parents, Kenneth & Mildred, his sister, Gwen (Navarre) Karoly and his Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Alexander & Leona (Michalak) Dasky.
He thanks his close friends Fire Chief Michael Murphy and wife Barbara, former Police Chief Al Schettino and his wife Carol, Dan Collardey, Dina Schleifer, Joe and Maria Granda, Bill and Helen McMullan and his entire Marco Island Family.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, June 3rd at San Marco Catholic Church from 10:00-11:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
