Ron Bryan, 85, passed away at home on April 25, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on May 30, 1934 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Grace and Sheldon Bryan. He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Elizabeth.
After graduation from high school, Ron spent 4 years in the Navy aboard a destroyer ship. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from Georgetown University. He worked for IBM for 38 years, most of that time being spent in the Washington, D.C. area.
He fell in love with Marco Island and decided that was where he wanted to retire. Since December, 1997 Ron and Liz have made Hideaway Beach their permanent home. One of his great pleasures was playing golf and he never stopped trying to improve his game. Ron is a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In recent years, he especially enjoyed the men’s Bible study group.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on July 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Marco Island. Due to the pandemic restrictions attendance is limited. Please contact St. Mark's for reservation at https://forms.gle/XVxixxidZPP2tmZV7
