Thomas Kraemer, age 72, of Marco Island, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Thomas was born June 23, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey to Tomassa Ogando Kraemer & Loren Kraemer. His father was killed in the Korean War when he was young so he and his sister, Lorene, were raised by their mom who remained single.
Thomas was an honor student and earned himself a scholarship to Seton Hall University. He studied and earned a degree in Engineering. After trying his hand at engineering he decided to take the police vest and started his new career in law enforcement.
Thomas was a member of the Union, NJ Police Force for 35 years, 14 of those years as The Chief of Police. He proudly served his country at 9/11, aiding to find bodies with 70 members of his force. He retired from the force as The Chief of Police.
He was kind and helpful with his knowledge for fixing many things including, cars, boats and anything mechanical. Thomas was a lover of music, fishing, old cars and law enforcement. He had no children of his own but treated Rose's like his own.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Apriglano Kraemer and her family along with cousins in New Jersey.
A a memorial mass for Thomas will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Road, Marco Island, FL 34145.
