Marie Anne Antoinette Agathe Pierre, age 87, of Marietta, GA peacefully passed away in her sleep and became an Angel on March 28, 2021. She was born on November 17, 1933 to Rene Pierre and Lamercie Laurent. Magathe was a beautiful soul.
Magathe was an elementary school teacher in Haiti; a mother and caregiver in America. She was of the Catholic faith, being an influential member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta.
Magathe never birthed any children; yet, was a cherished mother to four children and a mother figure to so many children. Her laughter and smile filled the room with happiness. Her kindness and spirit made others feel blessed to be in her presence. Her strength and courage exhibited true bravery. She enjoyed being a mother, cooking, talking and laughing with her friends, playing with her grandchildren, eating sweets and most of all loving her family.
Magathe is preceded in death by Rene Pierre, Lamercie Laurent, Edna Pierre and Lucien Pierre. She is survived by her children James Pierre, Max Pierre, Nancy Pierre, and Daphne Jones; grandchildren Aidan Pierre, Alana Watts, Haley Pierre, Aniyus Pierre, Alena Watts, Collin Watts, Madison Jones, Saige Jones, Max Pierre Junior; siblings Myllie Pierre, Fritz Pierre, Ernst Pierre; nieces and nephews Myrtho Pierre, Frantz Pradieu, Carlyne Pradieu, Emilie Pierre, Sacha Pierre; Grand nephews and nieces Joe Grandoit, Audrey Jackson, and Skylar Pradieu.
A celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 11am until the hour of the funeral service at 1pm held at H.M Patterson & Son - Canton Hill. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Magathe’s name to St. Judes Cancer Center by visiting stjude.org.
