Bettie Lord Walters, 84, of Woodstock, Georgia went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 28, 2014. She was born December 20, 1929 in Porterdale, Georgia, the daughter of Claude and Auby Lord. She celebrated her sixtieth wedding anniversary with her husband, James P. Walters, Jr. before his passing in 2010. She was a devoted wife and mother to her three sons, Perry, Craig and her late son, Jeff. She enjoyed cooking and hosting for family reunions at her home, restoring antique furniture, and volunteering her time to Meals on Wheels as a former member of Cliftondale United Methodist Church. She is survived by sons; Perry and Craig Walters, sisters; Sara “Jim” Roberts and Anne Stewart, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 12 noon at H.M. Patterson and Son Canton Hill in Marietta, with a visitation one hour prior.
