Brian was very pleasant to work with and very friendly.  He always troubleshoots any broken apps that we have in our department. Brian will be missed in our substation design team.

Playing pool at Patrick's birthday party. Brian actually got into SaGu, which is Korean pool. There are no pockets; you bounce balls off of each other and the rails to get points. I think he actually got pretty good at it.

Brian's birthday, at karaoke. He used to sing a lot of metal songs, but he also sang Build Me Up Buttercup and I loved when he did that one.

Atlanta Korean language meetup group. Brian will be remembered and missed

I am shocked and saddened to hear the news. I was a part of the atlanta korean language meet up group that met regularly at mozart bakery on buford highway. Brian was so kind and patient with helping others to learn and his kind smile and soft spoken manner was very nice. I remember we used to tease him about his regular wendy’s order-the employees knew his order before he asked, depending on the day of the week. I have such a fondness for him. His kindness and his memory will continue to live in the hearts of the many people lucky enough to have known him. 

I am so sorry to hear of Brian's passing.  Brian was one of our longest term employees at Southern Company, and he always represented himself and Selectek in the best possible way.  He was a pleasure to work with.  May you be comforted by many happy memories.

My heart is broken...Brian was a good guy and very intelligent.  I will miss him and his hugs!!! Rest well King!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your son. I joined the Sub Control Design group about a year ago, where I met Brian. He was so kind to me and we bonded over our enjoyment of playing Pool. He taught me the concept of Korean Pool, Korean Four Balls, and how the owner of Red Fox Billiards taught him. Which is a billiards place I now enjoy going to because of him. You can see his face light up when he spoke about what he was passionate about. He will be missed. 

Though I did not know your son or know either of you , I was emailed this update in my workplace at Southern Company. I am praying for your son’s soul all the same .  As a member of the military I have seen too many times when Father’s and Mother’s sons  leave us far too soon. 
May the Lord God wipe away any earthly stain and purify his soul that he may enter into eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. May you both be consoled in the hope of Christ’s promise of Heaven. Know I will continue to pray for your son’s soul and and you both during this time. 

Brian was an amazing guy. After he got back from Korea, around 2008 I think, he started the Atlanta Korean Language Meetup on Meetup.com. I have been a part of this group for almost a decade. Brian brought together so many people through this group. He didn't come to the gatherings a lot but I loved it when he did. I will miss him a lot. His humor, his presence, and his karaoke songs.

I’ve always had great respect and admiration working with Brian and was looking forward to working with him again. I’m saddened to know of his passing but will always remember the great things he did for our team; more importantly, his smile and the confidence he had when tasked with a challenge will always be remembered.

I’m deeply saddened to learn of Brian passing. He was quiet but always had a smile and a “hi” to give. I remember the day I talked to him for the first time in the office and he looked at me like “why are you stopping me to talk?”. After that first conversation, he was the one to stop me by the hallway to say hi and chat about the day. Brian will be greatly missed! My heart goes to Benny & the rest of the Kay family. ♥️ 

I am so saddened by passing away of Brian Kay. He was quiet but once you got to know him he was very friendly and pleasure to talk to. He was my go to expert whenever I needed help with coding related to AutoCAD Software. Benny you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Deeply saddened to learn of Brian passing. He was always quiet at the office but really excited about fixing computer/programming issues. He will be missed greatly! Our thoughts and prayers are with Benny and his family!  

This breaks my heart. I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful soul.  He was so sweet. When I was in Sub Design with him, he would come and sit down and just chat away. I have not seen or talked to him since before covid hit. I hate that we lost those relationships during that time. My prayers and condolences go out to Benny and Marilyn and the entire Kay family. 💔
