Carl M. Battaglini of Marietta, passed away at the age of 55 on September 5, 2021. Born in Middle Village, New York on July 21, 1966. Carl moved to Georgia and graduated from Georgia State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He was a brother of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
Carl volunteered as a basketball coach at St. Ann’s Church for 14 years. Even though he moved to Georgia his favorite baseball team was always the New York Mets, but he was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. You could always find him planning some fun activity with his son, niece, and nephew, whether it be trips to Six Flags, Mario Andretti Racing, mini-golf, Brewsters, ballgames or just swimming in the pool. He loved to play golf and enjoyed parties. He was a great cook and loved to play jokes on his friends and family.
Carl will truly be missed by his dog Bella; she was always excited to see him when he came home from work and was always up for a car ride with him. Bella was not only his best friend, but she was his baby girl.
He was an adoring husband, father, son, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Amber Battaglini, his son Matthew, his parents, Mike and Nancy Battaglini, his mother-in-law, Joy Biddy, his sister, Kim, his brother-in-law Tom, his niece, Emily and his nephew, Michael.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia.
