I am sorry for your loss. I worked with her at Loraine High School in 1982-1983 nd 1983-1984. She was the band director and I think she got her math certification after she left Loraine.    She also taught computer science. 

The first time I played music at Mt Bethel with Debbie over 20 years ago, I was struck with how big her sound was. The last time, last Spring, I was struck with how big her heart was. She sat in her customary spot on the back row of the orchestra with that helmet and all its paraphernalia and she could barely hold her trumpet up. One look at that face and you could tell she was pouring her heart out to the Lord, and it was a big heart. Larry, Carmen, Walker, that big heart will wrap your lives with love from now on.

Larry, Carmen and Walker,
God has wrapped his loving arms around Debbie.  May he bless and keep you as you honor her life. We cherish our wonderful memories of her through the Walton Band.

My dear friend you will be deeply missed. To Larry, Carmen and Walker - Thank you for sharing your dear wife and mother with all of us.  I was so lucky to have known her. My prayers are with all of you for healing and peace.

The Lawson family is so grateful for the time we had with Debbie in the Walton Band.  She remains an inspiration to so many with whom she graciously shared her talents and gift of service. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
