Mrs. Ethel Wood, 84 of Marietta, GA passed away on October 16, 2011. She was born to the late Alexander and Ella Ragan on October 22, 1926 in Lakeland, FL. She graduated from Russell High School in East Point, GA. Ethel made her home in Marietta and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Ethel was a loving mother and grandmother and took care of all her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis M. Wood, Sr. She is survived by her sons Louis M. Wood, Jr, Christopher R. Wood (Barbara), daughters Susan W. Chaffin (Steve), Nancy W. Sparks (Steward), 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A private family service will be held at a later date.
