So very sorry to read of Mr. McIlraith's passing. I have many fond memories of him, Mrs.McIlraith, Kevin and Carol during our Junior and Senior High School years in Rocky River.  Condolences to all.  MaryBeth Albertson Willis

Gerry was. One of my favorite  managers in my working career. He was a very likable gentleman with a warm personality. Unfortunately our paths crossed during a very difficult time I’m my life and I was unable to stay in touch.  

Gerry was instrumental in getting me an interview with IBM (1964),  for which I was always grateful (30 years),

When I think of Gerry I think that God put the greatest man on earth for me to know.  From the day I met him he treated me as a daughter and has been a fabulous example throughout my life and my children’s lives.  He loved his entire family so much and showed it every day in every way.  

Gerry’s sense of humor was infectious and he was someone that everyone wanted to be around.  Anyone who needed advice or help he gave lovingly and thoughtfully, showing no impartiality.  

There are so many things that I remember about Gerry, but the one thing that had the most impact on me was that he was absolutely, positively, a dad to me in every way, and I will miss him always.

Rest in peace Gerry.  I’m sure you have made the good Lord happy and he has a special place in heaven for you.

taught me many things. He was an incredible role model. I was lucky to have him around for so much of my life and to live fairly close, as well. I have been so lucky to be loved by him so much and to have so much of his support along the way. Because of this, I cannot think of a more incredible guy to have as a grandpa.  I could never repay him for the life that he gave my sister and I. He was the best grandfather I could ever ask for. I will miss him more than he could ever know.  I so wish that he could still be here,...but as long as he is in our hearts and minds I know that he never truly is 'gone'. He will forever be loved and cherished, and Grandpa I hope that I get to see you again one day and have another laugh with you some time, and hold your hand,-see your smile. Because that was everything for me to have with you.. And your laughs were so infectious. May God look after you forever and see your beautiful face, as we did. I love you so much, and always. My grandfather, Gerry, was such a kind, generous, light-hearted, loving, and driven human being. He loved so many people in his life,- family, friends, and I believe that he cherished his colleagues and business relationships very much, as well. He was an incredible business man and made a name for himself. He was such a fighter, the bravest and strongest guy I know, such a humorous person, and was an absolute joy and light to be around. He has inspired so many to live life to the fullest, remind them that we need not take life too seriously, and to laugh and enjoy yourself along the way.  He got along with so many people that he met and established so many lasting relationships during his life, and he always would let the family know how much he adored his beautiful wife, my grandmother, Audrey, and would tell us how pretty she always is, and how lucky he was to have someone like her. I'd like to believe that he touched so many others lives, because he was such a genuine human being, he loved learning and helping people, had a gift to reach people and had an amazing spirit and sense of humor (was a jokester for sure), and had faith in many people. He loved God, went to church every week, and he was always so grateful for the life that he lived and all of the opportunities he got, and he treated his family with so much love and care.
