

Arleine Jacque McNair Stoddard, age 95, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away March 3, 2017. She was born in Southport, New York on August 13, 1921 to parents Philip and Ada Jacque. Arleine graduated from Horseheads High School and received a Nursing Degree from Edward J. Meyer School of Nursing. She was married to Johnnie McNair for 22 years before he passed away in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. She was married to Raymond Stoddard for 32 years before his passing. Arleine had a fulfilling career as a nurse. She served as a nurse in the United States Army during World War II and then worked at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia. She was a member of the American Legion and Beecher Doll Club. She had a passion for collecting dolls, dancing, driving her convertible and family reunions. Arleine is survived by her daughter, Linda Dodd; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Rebecca) Dodd, Valerie (Brian) Lowe; brother, Raymond (Marianne) Jacque; great grandchildren: Audrey, Dempsey, Truman and Jackson and many nieces & nephews.
