She was a native of Athens, GA and moved to Atlanta, after graduating from The University of Georgia in 1944, to teach kindergarten. She married Lucien E. Wallace of New Orleans in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1998 after 50 years of marriage. She was a member of Beecher Hills Baptist Church and later Mt. Vernon Baptist Church of Sandy Springs. Mrs. Wallace won many awards for her African Violets.
Survived by her children, Ginger and Weldon Price, David L. and Vicki M. Wallace; grandchildren, Matthew D. and Amanda Wallace, Valerie W. and Matthew Tumlin, G. Weldon and Valorie Price, Jason C. and Kristen Price, Ashley L. and Dave Butler; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday Dec. 30 at 1 PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 12 Noon until 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
