Julia Dianne Howie

Julia “Dianne” Howie, age 74, passed away on March 14, 2024. Daughter of the late Murphy Small and William Small, Dianne was born on June 6, 1949 in Alabama. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of South Alabama and used this to work as a Manager in retail and retiring after many years from Sears.

Dianne loved spending quality time with her family and friends and adored her grandchildren. She often would spend time with her son, Richard, walking through many antique shops. She enjoyed attending Auburn football games with her daughter, Beth, and her grandchildren. Dianne was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Dianne is preceded in death by her husband, Joel Richard Howie Jr.

She is survived by her son, Richard Howie; daughter, Elizabeth Nicol; grandchildren, Parker Nicol, Grace Nicol and Matthew Nicol, and extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on March 22, 2024 between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm at HM Patterson Canton Hill Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held on March 23, 2024 at 1:00pm at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw, Georgia.
