Leon Lewis Davis Sr.

On March 5, 2017 God in his way, guided Leon Lewis Davis up that sunlit path to a land of peace on rest after a long illness.

Leon, Born in Kinston, NC on February 19, 1953 to the late Jessie and Lillie Belle Hawkins Davis. Leon was an honorable Retire Navy veteran. He also worked as a truck driver for many years prior to his illness. Leon enjoyed his sports, westerns, traveling and family.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Donna Davis. Daughters Kamikka (Paul) Whiting of Hamden, CT. Kiaama(Terry) Spearman of Douglasville, GA. Lashonda(Demetrius) Thomas of West haven, CT. Eboni Bertrand of Atlanta, GA. Son Leon(Tamika) Davis of Acworth, GA. Kyrone(Crystal) Brown of Mt. Vernon, NY. Carl Brown of NC. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Brothers Link Williams, Larry Davis, James Sutton, Charles Davis and Kenneth Davis of NC. Jessie Davis of Jacksonville, NC James Hawkins of Brooklyn, NY. Sisters Barbara Davis, Eldress Mildred Simmons of Kinston, NC, Betty Jean Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, NY. One great uncle and two great aunts. He was predeceased by his Step-Mother, Cora Sutton Davis, and was blessed by his second Step-Mother Sarah Davis

and a sister Deloris Evelyn Sutton.

The Davis family express their grateful and sincere appreciation to each and every one during the loss of our beloved husband and father. Maybe you sent a card, maybe you prepared some food, maybe you said a prayer, whatever your act of kindness it will always be remembered.
