“You Empowered My Life”
Oh Lord, my God, I could not have lived my life on my own strength.
When I asked you to fill me with your presence, you brought me peace and contentment.
You empowered my life with the energy to thrive and not merely survive.
Holy Spirit, you enabled me to make better life choices; to better serve you; and, also, to share your love with others.
You gave me the heart and mind to be a more caring mother, a more loving wife, a wiser worker, and a better friend.
Yes, I have had my troubled times, as we all have, but you carried me through them all.
And, now that I am about to come before you, I thank you for having made me feel so blessed.
Lord, I pray that you will accept me into your fold and grace me with your everlasting presence.
Lord, in my absence, I ask that you will comfort my loved ones and continue to guide them with your own hand in all they do.
Finally, as for this increasingly difficult world that I leave behind, I beseech thee to help all of mankind to better know and serve you, and grant them everlasting peace.
Prayer written by Paula Randall Quina on behalf of her Mother, Lila Dean Taquino
