Lucy Jane Hammond

Mrs. Lucy Jane Hammond, of Fairmount, Georgia, died April 12th, 2020. She was born in Murphy, North Carolina, on November 2, 1943. She retired as a Dietary Cook. Throughout her life, Mrs. Hammond was a steadfast member of the Baptist faith and strong believer in God. She loved her children, but joyfully embraced the title of Grandmother, to all her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her parents, Arvil D. Hughes and Lucy Anderson Hughes; brothers, Dee; Jack; Ralph; & Roy Hughes; sister,Jean Grooms . She is survived by her beloved spouse of 36 years, Kenneth D. Glover. Due to the Corvid-19 health issues, Mrs. Hammond, will be laid to rest in a graveside service, Wednesday, April 15th, 2020, on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. At a later date, a full memorial will be held to honor her. The family is grateful for the thoughts and prayers, for our beloved Jane, during this difficult time.
