Margaret E Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marietta resident, Margaret E. Smith on June 9, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Margaret’s warm heart and spirited nature touched all who knew her.

Margaret is lovingly survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and David Donachie, and Raeann and Jason Fields. She was a proud grandmother to Bradley and Dale Wayne Donachie, and Arrington and Anthony Fields, and a cherished great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, whose lives were brightened by her love and wisdom.

Margaret lived a full and joyful life. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—whether it was spending an afternoon solving puzzles, sharing laughter during a bingo game, exploring new places on her travels, or diving into a good book. Above all, she treasured time with her family and built a legacy of love, strength, and compassion.

A memorial service honoring Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, June 13th at 3:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel, located at 1157 Old Canton Road, Marietta, GA. Rev. Clarence Sinkler will be officiating.

Margaret’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
