Maria Dolores "Lolita" Roxo, 79, of Marietta, GA, passed away on March 13, 2013. She was born in Madrid, Spain and was the daughter of Gregorio del Pino Diaz and Paula Vargas Rodriquez. The family moved to Brazil in the early 1950's. Lolita received a graduate degree in Psychology from Gama Filho University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a devout Catholic, she was very active in her community and everyone who knew her loved her. She was a charismatic woman with a warm smile. An animal lover from a young age, she cared for all living creatures. With an eye for detail, her artistic talent ranged from restoring sculptures to creating beautiful paintings. She was selfless, thoughtful and always there to lend a helping hand. Lolita is survived by her husband, Joao Carlos Mascarenhas Roxo, her children Ana Maria Roxo, Carlos del Pino Roxo and Carmen Davenport. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Monday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gabe officiating. H. M. Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel in charge of arrangements.
