

Mary Louise was born on March 21, 1934 in Savannah, GA., attended Cathedral School and was an Honor Graduate of St. Vincent's Academy in 1952. She pursued her love of caring for others when she completed St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Savannah earning her RN designation in 1955.
On November 12, 1955, she married her childhood sweetheart, Anthony J. Buttimer. They traveled together as he completed his military obligations as a USAF Pilot. Returning to Savannah, they raised 10 children together. In 1978, they moved to Marietta, GA.
Mary's life was one of unselfish giving of her time, talent and treasures to her family, to her Catholic Church as well as her community. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 15 years and her passion for helping others flourished in her work for the St. Anne's Conference of St. Vincent's de Paul. Her specialty was the Thrift Store and the Food Pantry, where in 2008, the pantry was dedicated in her name. She loved working with the St. Anne's Parish Adopt-A-Family program. Her joyous spirit and her beaming smile were contagious with everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 1/2 years, Anthony J. Buttimer, her 10 children, Dennis (Angela), Mark (Laura), Elizabeth Buttimer, Tony (Beth), Nancy Adams (Garry), Margaret Burgess (Gary), Julianne Matyac (Matt), Matthew, Maureen Harrison, Mary McGee ( Mike), 31 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, her brother, Charles W. Weber of Savannah, GA and one neice, Suzy W. Murray, of Reno, NV.
Mary was predeceased by her father, Charles W. Weber, Sr., her mother, Mary Davis Weber and her step-mother Bessie Weber.
Mary's visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at H.M. Patterson and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM at 1157 Old Canton Road, Marietta, GA. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 25th at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA with burial at The Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
