Mary Helen Sewell

Mary Helen Eidson Sewell 91 of Marietta died Tuesday, September 14, 2010. She was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband of 54 years, William A. Sewell; by her parents, Mother Ethel Copeland Eidson and Father Howard C. Eidson; and sister, Mildred Eidson McCoy.

Mary Helen attended the Atlanta public schools and graduated from Girls High School, Atlanta, in 1936. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church, a long time member of Atlanta First Methodist Church and a member of Mt Zion Methodist Church, Marietta, GA. She was a long time member of the Methodist Children’s Home Auxiliary, Decatur, GA.

She is survived by her beloved family: Daughter, Deborah S. Vaughan; Grandson, Michael S. Vaughan and his wife Tracey A. Vaughan; Great Grand-Daughter Hayden Elisabeth Vaughan; and many close relatives and dear friends.

Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 at H.M. Patterson and Son, Canton Hill Chapel. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hmpattersoncantonhill.com
