Patsy Ruth Mabry

Patsy R. Mabry, age 87, of Marietta, Georgia, peacefully passed away at her home on April 30, 2025. Born on May 7, 1937, in Coalmont, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Bessie (Nunley) Bowman. Patsy graduated with honors from Roswell High School and went on to have a distinguished career as an administrative assistant, customer relations specialist, and assistant to the Georgia Comptroller.

Above all, Patsy cherished her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She married Don Mabry, the love of her life, and together they shared 70 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. They had just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in March, 2025. Patsy had a passion for traveling, exploring the wonders of the globe, indulging in her love for shopping, all types of music & a good glass of chardonay. Her nurturing spirit and sweet nature will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Bessie Bowman; sisters, Jane Tolbert, Doris Tribble, and Polly Green Strom; and grandson, Trevor Lee Mabry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Mabry; son, Jeff (Trilby) Mabry; daughter, Donna (Charles) Sims; granddaughter, Madeline Mabry; grandsons,

Robert (Renee) Sims and Conrad Sims; great-grandchildren, Carter Sims and Hannah Sims; sister, Wilma Pruitt; and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Wellstar Hospice and Patsy's caregiver and friend, Jolene Newton, for their compassionate care.

Friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to

12:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel, 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta, GA 30068. A funeral service to honor Patsy will follow at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In remembrance of Patsy, the family welcomes donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
