

Paul Matthew Chutich, 53, of Marietta, Georgia, son of the late Matt “Bimbo” Chutich and Betsy Chutich, also of Marietta, passed away suddenly on August 15,2018, at his home. He had just been vacationing at the summer cabin at Side Lake, Minnesota in July.
Paul graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachussetts and then from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He played hockey at both schools and currently played on an adult league in Marietta.
After graduation from Bowdoin in 1987, he accepted a scholarship from the Yugoslav Governement to study Economics at the University of Zagreb. He was there for one year and then moved to Georgia to help his parents and sister Dawn open the “Bimbo’s” on Delk Road in Marietta and has been there ever since running the business. In 2000 the name was changed to Delkwood Grill and the restaurant/bar has been in operation for 30 years.
He loved going to the cabin in northern Minnesota every summer and met many friends there who played summer hockey with him in his earlier years.
He was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother Betsy Chutich, sister Dawn (Ray) Benz, two nieces, Katie (James) Silva and Emily Benz, and twin nephews, Rob and Matt Benz; also, three stepdaughters, Monika, Gina and Mallorie, all of Marietta.
Graveside services were held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, Minnesota on August 25, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at Delkwood Grill in Marietta, Georgia on his birthday, October 20,2018. A luncheon will follow at the same place.
