

Phoebe was a wonderful wife and a caring mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading books, sewing, needlepoint and crocheting. Phoebe enjoyed traveling to many different countries with her husband Charlie, but her favorites were Egypt, Greece and Kenya. She also looked forward to the annual family beach vacation in Neptune Beach. Phoebe enjoyed spending time at their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 20 years. There they would camp, take motorcycle trips through the mountains and go cross country skiing…she loved the outdoors!
Earlier in life, she attended school at Iowa State University and earned her degree in Education. Phoebe used her degree to teach elementary and middle school students for many years.
Along with her mother and father, Phoebe is preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Gerace.
Phoebe is survived by her husband, Charles Snittjer; daughter, Melissa and her granddaughter, Mia.
A Memorial Service to honor Mrs. Phoebe Snittjer will be held in the Chapel at Mount Bethel Church, Marietta, Georgia 30068 on June 7, 2024 at 11:00am. The Chapel is located on the left side of the building, next to the Welcome Center. Friends are invited for a visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mount Bethel Columbarium
