I worked with Mr. Petree and his hearing aids for the last few years of his life and I am grateful I got to know him. He was a warm, kind, and genuinely decent man I was always glad to see on my schedule, and at 105 he was still coming into my office more full of life than many people do at 60. Both he and his family were genuinely pleasant to work with, and although there is certainly no tragedy in the end of a well-lived life of 106 years, I know his family misses his presence. Godspeed to him.

 I only met your dad once or twice at your former shop in Roswell. However , I remember the fondness and love of woodworking  you guys shared together and how proud you were to share pictures of your latest project when I would drop in for a haircut. Your suggestion of building a birdhouse for our backyard is well taken and look forward to making it become a reality.  What a life well lived especially with his many unique rules to live by to enjoy good health and happiness. I know your dad will be missed but the great memories together will always bring repeated smiles!

My name is Renee Lirette and I am Estellina Deslatte's granddaughter and Henri Guillot's daughter. Me and my family had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Pete for most of his 22 year relationship with my grandmother. He was a wonderful man and an inspiration to all who knew him, including me. I will miss his smiling face and positive outlook on my trips to the Atlanta area. His 13 rules to live by and his wooden gifts, which we will treasure always, will be a constant reminder of his inspiration, dedication, and love for all who had the privilege of becoming his friend. Rest in peace Mr. Pete❣️❣️ You will be missed! 

I'll always remember Mr. Pete He was a loving caring man. He will always be a member of our family.  He always asked my mom how  I was doing and wanted to take care of me. I loved it when he was at my mom's house, and he loved my mom's spaghetti & meatballs. I will always have Mr. Pete in my heart. I love you Mr. Pete Rest in Peace 

Pete was a wonderful man and example! Meeting Pete and his family was a highlight of my journalism career. I still remember and live by many of his rules. Pete’s family is my thoughts and prayers. ❤️

I never had the pleasure of meeting Pete, but I feel like I know him from many talks I have had with his son Don while getting my hair cut for more than 30 years. I see Pete’s influence on Don with the unbelievable woodworking skills Don has learned from his dad. Also, the love of family I see from Don working with his children and having grandkids running around is definitely an influence from Pete as well. 

I am sure the Petree family will have wonderful memories of Pete for many years to come and know how much Pete was loved by them.   Pete has left a wonderful legacy in his large family.
