Bob was born to Flora Yvonne (Sydnor) Bradshaw Woodson and Leonard G. Bradshaw in Hutchinson, Kansas. The early years of his life were spent in England, where his father was stationed in the United States Air Force. The final stop as an Air Force brat was at Offutt Air Force base outside of Omaha, Nebraska. In Omaha, Bob graduated from Bellevue Senior High School, before going to Hutchinson Community College in Hutchison, Kansas. He then attended and graduated from the University of Iowa.
After graduating from the University of Iowa he began his career as a Sales Executive at IBM. During his tenure at IBM, he was also a client executive from 2005- 2010. Bob spent 39 years at IBM and retired in 2010. During his career at IBM, he lived in several places, around the country, including, Des Moines, Dallas, Indianapolis, White Plains and Atlanta. While Atlanta, Bob met and married Sandra Williams; from that union was born their daughter Allyson Diane Bradshaw.
Bob enjoyed an active retirement, participating in near monthly 5K races, as well as lots of golf with friends. Bob regularly met with other IBM retirees, traveled the world, and made frequent trips to Home Depot, to support his love of gardening. He loved cheering for the local Atlanta teams. He was a Falcons season ticket holder for decades, thoroughly enjoyed noon Braves games, and rarely ever passed up a premium
Hawks ticket from his daughter. His love of sports started as early in high school where he played football and continued in Kansas where he was trainer for the local college basketball team, a role that eventually led him to an opportunity to act as a trainer for the University of Iowa football team.
Bob was proceeded in death by his sister Katherine Jackson, father Leonard G. Bradshaw Sr and Mother Flora Y Woodson. He is survived by his daughter Allyson, sisters Linda Wise and G. Pamela Mills and brother Leonard G. Bradshaw Jr. and two nieces and a nephew and a host of cousins and other relatives.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 o'clock, Saturday, January 28th, 2023, at Atkins Park, 2840 Atlanta Road SE, Smyrna, Georgia, 30080, (770)435-1887.
