Mr. Robert Clyde Maxwell, age 80 of Marietta, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011. A retiree of Cobb County Board of Education, Mr. Maxwell loved the outdoors and nature and enjoyed working with his hands. He always made it a point to treat people with dignity and respect and would give the shirt off his back. Kindhearted and friendly, Mr. Maxwell will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.
Mr. Maxwell was preceded in death by his son Randy Clyde Maxwell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Mrs. Mary Ann Maxwell, son Eddie Jerome Maxwell of Marietta; daughter Wanda Maxwell Taylor of Marietta; daughter in law Debbie Maxwell; brothers Benjamin Franklin Maxwell and Gerald Maxwell; grandsons David Maxwell and Brian Maxwell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Snyder Turner officiating.
