Mr. Robin J. Riester

Robin is survived by his wife of 39 years, Denise, son Andrew (Katie) and daughter Erin (Sean) Morgan. Brothers William Jr. (Connie), John (Sally) and Sister Barbara (Mike) Carney. He had three granddaughters; Abigail, Avery, and Quinn. Robin was an amazing and loving husband, father, brother, and PopPop. Robin was preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Cyrilla Riester as well as his older brother Thomas.

Robin was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania to William Sr. and Cyrilla (Mihalik) Riester on September 10, 1951. Robin grew up in Pennsylvania with his sister and three brothers. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. In 1976, Robin married the love of his life, Denise (O’Brien). Robin and Denise had two children, Andrew and Erin. They have resided in Marietta since 1985. Robin worked in the Cement Industry in Sales for over 30 years. Robin was a family man that was a true definition of a loving father and husband. He enjoyed spending time with his family, making people laugh, reading, and being a Steelers fan.

We would like to thank our family and friends for the constant love, support, and prayers throughout Robin’s journey with cancer these last 6 ½ years. Robin fought a tough battle with cancer with courage, strength, humor, and grace.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the team of doctors, nurses, and specialists that cared for Robin throughout his journey. We are especially grateful for Emory Winship Cancer Center as well as Tranquility Hospice at Cobb.
