Samantha Kay Turco

Samantha was a wonderful wife, dedicated mother, & adoring grandmother. She lived much of her life in Illinois, later moving south & raising her children in Canton, GA. She went back to school & became a gifted nurse who cared for other people so deeply—she even won the nationwide Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses in 2023 for the impact she made in her patients lives.

Anyone who knew her closely will certainly recall her infectious laughter, her gorgeous singing voice, and the love she had for others (which she gave so generously in her lifetime). She was a shining example of appreciating the beauty in our lives and all around us. She was incredibly spirited and had a great sense of humor—even in death, her light refuses to dim.

She is survived by a family who adores and misses her every day, including: her husband Scott, mother Linda, 3 children (Benjamin, Nathan, & Nicholas), 4 siblings (Sam, Heather, Matthew, & Valerie) 2 grandchildren (Rylee & Brooks), and a whole host of extended family & friends who will cherish her forever.  

A visitation to honor Samantha’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son - Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta, GA 30068.

A committal service will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA 30114.

Samantha will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
