Steven Brian Farley

Steven Farley of Marietta, Georgia left this earth on July 20th in search of fairer skies, 20 knot winds and no land in sight. A memorial service will be held on Friday July 23 from 2-4pm at HM Patterson, 1157 Old Canton Road NE, Marietta, Ga 30068. Steve was born on July 22, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His family moved to Hibbing, MN for a few years, then on to Columbia, SC where his love for sailing grew. His summers were spent on the beaches of South Carolina where he both worked and played. Steve was a graduate of University of South Carolina, and received Masters in Business and Accounting. Steve loved the outdoors, was a demon on the ski slopes, and was well known for his famous “fluky serve” on the tennis courts. Steve was an employee of Regions Bank in Atlanta. Steve is survived by his wife Jackie, his daughter Caitlin and his son Bryan. Other surviving family members are his sister Kris Johnson and his mother Peg Farley. In lieu of flowers, Steve would like donations made to Life Link of Georgia, an organ donor fund.
