Wayne.  How many hours of our childhood did we spend together?  The first day I moved to Oak Ridge youtrotted across the street and drank from our hose.  My sister was livid.  I was smitten.  I have a hundred memories.  We would go to the drugstore at the local shopping center and you'd buy me a vanilla coke.  You always had a cherry coke.  You were my first kiss.  We were sad when your dog Jip died.  You sat for hours while I struggled putting in my new contact lenses.  You'd ride me on the front part of your green Schwinn.  We danced the minuet in a play together.  You taught me to fold newspapers.  We'd go to the creek and observe the wildlife, we saw muskrats once.  I think you were the reason I have always been attracted to red headed men.  Your son has my middle name but I don't know if that was an accident or on purpose.  When my family moved to South Carolina in 1967 I missed you most of all.  I talked to you on the telephone early in 2015 and how i wished I'd thanked you for being my best friend for all those years.  Life separated us and the thread is now lost.  Beloved friend.  

Wayne I pray you rest in Peace.  I didn't know you well, however the time I did sure makes a hole in my heart.  Thanks for being a great friend, neighbor, and watching over them for the last 5 yrs., my Son and Daughter inlaw; Joshua and Mallory Tredway.  You will be missed and I know Ms Maggie Mae will as well.  You were always so nice to me as well.

Norma Jean and Emily Sue would visit each summer from Oak Ridge.
