Anita Berry Scott

Anita Lucille Berry Scott, 53, of Nebo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Carolina Specialty of Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born on September 18, 1958 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of Annie Berry Thomas.

Anita was a loving daughter and sister who loved the Lord. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where she was a missionary leader and sung in her church choir. Anita loved and cherished her dog, Pebleo.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Scott. She is survived by her mother, Annie Berry Thomas of Charlotte; sisters, Daphine Nichols, Tammy Glenn and Tiffany Thomas, all of Charlotte; brother, Derrick Maurice Berry of Charlotte; God-daughter, Siletha Scott of Morganton; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Mt. Moriah Missonary Baptist Church in Marion. Burial will follow the service in McDowell Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Prior to the service at the church.
