In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George W. Jenkins.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by a son; Benjamin Potter, wife, Marilyn, of Marion, a daughter; Mary Barton Goodman, of Marion, 6 Grandchildren; Donna Lyn Potter, Celia Ann Clark, Blain Potter, Matthew Potter, Charles Richard Goodman, and Jeffrey Goodman, and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers Memorial may be made to Hospice of McDowell County 575 Airport Rd. Marion, NC 28752.

Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family.
