

She was born April 29, 1922 in Yancey County, NC to the late Biss Geouge and Pansy Hall Geouge.
Ms. Burnette was a member of Cross Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. She was formerly active in WMU and the Food Committee and she taught Sunday School for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Rhinehart and her second husband, Sam Burnett.
Surviving Ms. Burnett are three children, Jim Rhinehart and wife, Pam of Marion, NC, Jeff Rhinehart and wife, Gina of Marion, NC and Lynn Good and husband, Terry of Nebo, NC; one sister, Wanda Wilson of Forest City, NC; eight grandchildren, Chris Rhinehart and wife, Mistie, Fonda Williams and husband, Peter, Jennifer Hawkins and husband, Dusty, Travis Good, Melissa Hughes and husband, Tom, Kelsey Bunzey and husband, Robby, Jakob Rhinehart and Jordon Rhinehart and wife, Lindsay; and nine great-grandchildren, Isaak Rhinehart, Andrew Taylor, Lyndsey Barnes, Carly Barnes, Christian Good, Hailey Hawkins, Colton Bunzey, Jaxon Bunzey, Rosali Rhinehart and Owen Rhinehart.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Don Mitchell and Chaplain Richard Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
