James Edward Womack

James Edward Womack, 76, of Nebo, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at St. Joseph Campus in Asheville, NC. He was born on November 27, 1934 in McDowell County, NC to the late Frank Womack and Beatrice Arrowood Womack.

Mr. Womack was a loving and faithful husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Nora Estes Womack; daughter, Sharon Kay Tipton of Marion; son, Mark Stephen Womack of Nebo; grandchildren, Patricia LaFountain, Karey Dulaney, Jamie Womack, Haley Womack and Marky Womack; great-grandchildren, Noah Plunkard, Neil LaFountain and Kohen Dulaney; sister, Jerald Lee and her husband, Wayne of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 at West Court Baptist Church in Marion with the Reverend Ross Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held privately at the church Cemetery
