She was born in Covington Kentucky to the late Charles Edwin Gibbs and Bertha Oda Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Atkinson, two sons; Roger and Gordon Atkinson, one brother and two sisters.
Jean was a caring, giving person who shared her time and talents with many people over the years. She was loved by many during her lifetime.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son Walter Atkinson and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and daughter in law Betsy Atkinson.
Services will be held at a later date.
