Marie Maxine Buchanan, 89, of Marion, joined the Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born on July 31, 1923 to the late Mack Jeff Capps and Effie Capps. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Jeff Buchanan and one brother Herman Capps. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed. She loved singing, dancing, and also enjoyed yodeling!
She is survived by her daughter; Susan Zack, a son; Bill Zack, and Grandson; Andie Rhyan.
The family will have a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 McDowell Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County 374 Hudlow Rd. Forest City, NC 28043.
