

She was born April 12, 1928 in Patterson, NJ to the late Henry “Hank” Memmem and Anna Mayer. Marjorie was a homemaker in her early years. Later in life she enjoyed flea marketing. She was a member of the Salvation Army in Sumter, SC and of Extension Homemakers in Edneyville, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Clyde Epley; one son, Carl Epley; and one brother, Henry Memmem.
Surviving Marjorie are two sons, Clifford Epley of Marion, NC and Craig Epley of Morganton, NC; three daughters, Connie Preiser of Hickory, NC, Christine Laney and husband, Chuck of Marion, NC and Cheryl Goree and husband, Charlie of Marion, NC; one brother, Ralph Memmem and wife, Lynne of Greer, SC; five sisters-in-law, Kate Davenport, Mary Lou Sprinkle, Joyce Suttles, Helen Memmem and Josephine Epley; ten grandchildren, Erin, Dawn, LeAnn, Skyla, Eva, Carma, Wesley, Victoria, Alex and Devin; three great-grandchildren, David, Elora and Shylyn; two special friends, Mary White of Calhoun Falls, SC and Grace of Hendersonville, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Hospice Chaplain Diane Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
