Mary Helen Collins, 85, of Marion, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013. She was born on March 4, 1927 to the late Charles Luther Dowdle and Vira Arrowood Dowdle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Matthew Collins and two brothers David Dowdle and Jack Arrowood. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles Arthur Collins, of Marion; a daughter, Elizabeth Collins Moricle, husband Steve, of Greensboro, NC; and two Grandsons, Matthew Samuel Moricle and John Thomas Moricle.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Jim Brewer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
