He was born here in Marion on November 4, 1928, and lived in the Glenwood Community his entire life. He was preceded in death by his father, Caleb P. Hogan and his mother, Ella Ward Hogan, six brothers, two sisters, and two wives, Pauline Cable Hogan and Irene Straughn Hogan. He is survived by two sisters, Lillian Ray and Jean Mace; his four children, Wanda Kaye Hilton, Perry Randell (Randy) Hogan, Angela (Angie) Teresa Hogan and Robin Denise Hogan; five grandchildren, Crystal Hilton Padgett, Dominic Steven Hogan, Shawn William Hogan, Michelle Gilbert McCraw and Wendy Dawn Harwood; and eight great-grandchildren, Brooke McCraw, Kristin Ruth, Carly Padgett, Madison Sowers, Alexis McCraw, Evan McCraw, Zach McCraw, and Zalen McCraw.
Perry retired from Coats America after 37 years of service. He lived a simple country life and very much enjoyed hunting, long walks in the woods with his dogs, vegetable gardening and watching old western T.V. shows. He especially loved taking a bunch of grandkids for a walk to the river. He loved his church, Bethel Baptist, and was there for every service as long as his health permitted. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother; loved and respected by all who knew him. A man of few words, but the way he lived his life spoke volumes.
