Shirley Ann Holt Parks

She was born January 22, 1930 in Madison County, NC to the late Carl Holt and Opal Gowan Holt. Ms. Parks was a longtime resident of Hot Springs, NC where she leaves many beloved friends. She enjoyed reading, watching television programs, talking on the phone and traveling, especially to see her daughter in California. She had a strong faith in God and her family is comforted knowing that she is with Him now.

Surviving Ms. Parks are one son, Jerry Parks, Sr. of Marion, NC; two daughters, Debra Buckson and husband, Fred of Vacaville, CA and Donna Shetley and husband, Eugene of Marion, NC; one sister, Violet Mullins of Gulf Breeze, FL; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. James Walker officiating.
